Our business is founded on all the knowledge, experience and passion of co-founder Antonio Iazzetta, who has been a technician (and lover) of gelato for over 30 years.

Working alongside Antonio is his son Gian Luca, who was inspired to bring the world of gelato in line with the latest vegan and clean-label trends.

In 2020, all the experience and stability of the Toschi Vignola group in the field of processing natural products for the gelato and hospitality & catering industries also become part of Essenza.
THEN CAME ESSENZA...
Out of Antonio’s great experience and Gian Luca’s innovative vision, Essenza was born: a project with the aim of creating a neutral and bases for artisanal and industrial gelato and confectionery, composed entirely of plant-based products derived from natural fibres and proteins.
Since 2020, thanks to our partnership with the Toschi Vignola Group, we have benefited from the production capacity and experience of an established company.
Following the growing trend for natural products and clean labels, gelato made from Essenza bases are now free from additives and emulsifiers. This is due to the quantity of a few very high-quality raw materials, derived from the residue of other processes.
